The illustration encapsulates a glimpse of Sophie’s adventure in the movie Howl’s Moving Castle.

I illustrated this in Illustrator using custom brushes and filters to create a textured painting style. In addition, to create a sense of depth of field, multiple layers is used with specific elements such as mountains, lake, grassland and characters.
